Adelante helps low-income Latinas and their families through education, family literacy, microenterprise development and empowerment. The agency sought help in grant development, including prospect research and writing. Alyssa started working with them in March 2007 on an ongoing basis.
Result: Alyssa has raised almost $900,000, including the support needed to fund a new project that targets low-income Latina youth and helps improve their health and self-esteem through workshops, lessons and leadership development. Client: CCI Enterprises, Inc.
Project: CCI sought
funding for an exciting initiative designed to increase their
organizational self-sufficiency and enhance the capability and wages of
the organization's disabled workforce.
Result: Several
grants were strategically researched to find the best potential match
for the project. Alyssa wrote proposals and offered tips for
site-visits and follow-up. Seven grant proposals raised $220,000
including $150,000 from Meyer Memorial Trust, $25,000 from Spirit
Mountain Community Fund and $30,000 from the Collins Foundation.

Project:
Alyssa consulted with New Avenues for nearly three years with the primary goal to raise funds through grant development for New Avenue's vital programs/services for homeless and at-risk youth, and to manage the grants process, including the completion of reports.
Result: Alyssa raised nearly $500,000 and completed several grant reports.
