Services

Pre-Proposal Grant Services: In order to develop fundable grant proposals, it is first necessary to assess your program’s readiness, gather background information (stats, testimonials and other data), and find funders that match your mission.

  • Organizational assessment for grant writing needs
  • Identification and research of prospective funders and fiscal year proposal calendar
  • Program development
  • Compiling background data and information needed for grant proposal development
  • Training/coaching in strategic grant development, including researching and writing techniques to build strong proposals

Grant Development (writing): We use a combination of storytelling techniques and data to highlight your program and create a compelling and fundable grant proposal.

  • Grant proposal writing and RFP's (Request for Proposal)
  • Letters of inquiry
  • Case statements
  • Grant reports

Editing: We provide a fresh pair of eyes and an outsider’s perspective to help strengthen your grant application/proposal.

  • Proofreading written communications
  • Proposal review and editing with strategies to make your proposal more fundable.

Depending on your organization's needs, we offer different support strategies:

On-going Monthly Retainer:
Instead of hiring an employee and paying payroll taxes, benefits or overwhelming your current staff with grant writing duties, consider investing in an experienced grants consultant. Depending on your organization's needs, we offer an outside perspective, knowledge of funders and essentially can “do it all.” This model of support often includes:

  •  Fiscal year calendar of grant deadlines
  • Ongoing prospect research, program development and grant writing
  • Grants management including reporting
  • Ongoing consultation and support

The average annual ROI for nonprofits that use this method is over 800%. Ongoing support also allows us to be continually engaged in your planning, so each proposal is part of a larger effort and aligned with your long term goals. On-going Monthly Retainers require a minimum three-month contract.

Project Support:
Ideal if your organization seeks short-term help for specific projects. Examples of project support include:

  • Program development and creating a case statement or “template” for one project
  • Editing and critique
  • Writing a federal grant
  • Creating a prospect database and fiscal year calendar
  • Train and offer support to staff to develop a system for grant development

Prices:
Fees vary depending on the scope of the project and the specific needs of your organization. We offer competitive, reasonable rates. Initial consultation is always free.

We work on a retainer or fixed fee project basis, as opposed to hourly.  We believe your agency is better served by disclosing costs upfront and both parties do not have to worry about "being on the clock." In essence, you pay for the value of services and results, as opposed to the number of hours it takes to get there.

In accordance with ethical standards of the field, we never
work on a commission or contingency basis.
