Foundation Center:

They offer an abundance of resources including proposal writing classes, advice on gaining 501(c)(3) status and an online directory available at many libraries for grant seeking.


Start-up Businesses

Foundations will generally not award grants to individuals or organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) status. However, here are some good sites if you are starting up a business.
