Alyssa launched her consulting business in 2006 after working and volunteering as a grant writer with nonprofits in Portland, Oregon. She has helped clients win over 200 grant awards totaling nearly $4 million.

She has diverse experience working with organizations in all sizes and fields that include:

Alyssa graduated from Portland State University in 2003 and is currently the board secretary of the Portland chapter of Grant Professionals Association (GPA). She is a contributing writer for CharityChannel’s Grants & Foundations Review, an online publication that reaches over 30,000 professionals. In 2008 she achieved Grants Professional Certification (GPC) which validates knowledge of and competency in the grants profession through education, experience, professional development, community involvement and a psychometrically sound exam.

When she isn’t working, Alyssa keeps busy with her husband, 3-year old son, and cat. She also enjoys crafting fiction, travel, cooking, running, hiking and exploring the outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
